Aimpoint PRO Review
When you put optics on your rifle, you just want them to work. That’s exactly what the Aimpoint Pro does. The “PRO” in Aimpoint PRO stands for “Patrol Rifle Optic”, because it was actually designed by both military and law enforcement professionals. This is why you will see Aimpoint Pro optics being used by law enforcement agencies in every state. Two of the reasons professionals use these optics are because they are both reliable and easy to use. With it’s torque limiting knob, the Aimpoint PRO is very simple to install. Just attach it to any scope or pica-tinny rail, and twist the knob until it clicks three times. That’s it, your Aimpoint PRO is now ready to use. Another feature that makes these optics easy to use is multiple brightness options. You are able to adjust the red dot to be dim at night, and very bright, so you can use it in sunlight. There are also several regular and night vision brightness options, so the Aimpoint PRO can also be used with any night vision gear you have. These optics also have a three year battery life, so you don’t have to fumble with a switch or knob to turn it on. It is made to be left on and ready to go at all times. In addition to the “always on” feature, the Aimpoint PRO also has a clear spot in the flip-up lens caps that allow you to still view the red dot even with the caps down. This can be very useful in emergency situations when a second delay can be the difference between life and death.
Most people never submerse their rifle, but if you do, the Aimpoint PRO is submersible up to 150 feet. There are rubber o-rings in the screw-on caps of the adjustment dials to protect against water damage. The three caps are also connected together with a rubber strap, so you don’t have to worry about losing them if you ever take them off to make adjustments. Many users have compared the Aimpoint PRO to the COMP M4 models, saying it has the same features, but at a much more affordable price.
You owe it to yourself, your family, and those you protect, be sure you are prepared, and use the optics designed and used by professionals. Add Aimpoint PRO optics to your rifle.
