My 3 crossbreeds are all adjusted the same way. My supertucks all have the rear mount in the bottom hole and the front mount is in the 2nd hole from the bottom. This works for me and my body build with the gun riding high and butt forward. You’ll just have to try the mounting options to see which one is going to fit well, conceal your gun and be the most comfortable. My carry guns are a full size H&K USP .40, CZ-85 9mm, and a Kahr CW9. With my Pistol Holsters adjusted this way my guns pretty much disappear under a t-shirt or one of my hawaians. I still have to watch how I bend over, just got to remember to bend at the knees instead of bending at the waist. pitbullcrazyinky

It’s my understanding that the Primary Arms and StrikeFire aren’t always exactly the same diameter as an Aimpoint CompAimpoint Comp M2/M3. The RS mount is intended for the Aimpoint CompAimpoint Comp M2/M3 sights but will work with other less expensive sights such as the Primary Arms or StrikeFire most of the time. I have a StrikeFire mounted to one of my AK’s with the RS mount and haven’t had any issues.

If you find a gun at a store for sale priced at the MSRP, you’re getting gouged a fair amount. That depends on the maker. Some put the MSRP fairly high, which then means that the buyer is eating a large chunk of Pittman Robertson, even if he buys the gun at a discount. Some other makers list an MSRP for their guns at 15 or 20%. Nighthawk, LWRC, and Les Baer are a few who publish a very low margin MSRP. Regarding ammunition, expect around 30%. Optics and mounts run about the same. Cleaning kits and other stuff are marked up more. Some asshole is going to start crying about the nerve of stores to seek a 30% margin on ammunition. They’re making too much money. I refer these people to the gun department at The Salvation Army. PAEBR332

I just figured the blue tint was due to lower end glass in the scope. But I checked out some Aimpoints today which also had varying degrees of blue tinting. Is this caused solely by the red coating on the objective lense filtering out red light? What’s the purpose? Does it make the Red Dot Sight more visible? It’s called a dichroic coating. It passes some colors and reflects some others. The reason it looks blue from the inside and red from the outside is that the coating is designed to reflect red light around the 650nm wavelength. A portion of the red light that would have gone into your eye gets reflected off the front of the scope, so it looks a little blue. It’s just there to ensure that almost 100% of the light from the LED goes back towards you, and very little of the light from the LED goes out the front of the scope. RowlandP

J223… No one can tell you what the best scope/rifle/pistol/car/dishwasher for you is, since there will always be differences in use cases and preferences. If you ask what the best Rifle Scopes is, people will usually tell you what the best for them is, which might not be at all what you’re looking for. Better would be “These are my preferences, my intended use and this is how much I want to spend. What scopes should I look at to find something that suits me” Most 3-gun matches dont really go beyond 350 and very few go beyond 425. Remember that there will be people shooting the match with irons, so a 1-4x Rifle Scopes is usually more than enough. nickforney

It’s also a great way to accidentally knock your weapon over and completely fuck the zero on an expensive and fragile optic or laser.

The spread of the legs is too narrow and too low, the natural center of balance for the weapon while it’s supported is awful.
This is especially true when traversing between targets. If you need a bipod, use a bipod.

Seems like if you’re using high dollar lasers and sensitive optics then you’d be using a bipod for your purposes.

I don’t think of the grip-pod as a bi-pod….but more as just something to rest the weapon on, high up in the prone or on obstacles kneeling… that travels well with the weapon.
